Gospel School for Deaf - Key Personnel
Head Teacher Christine Tawake came to the GSD and Harland Hostels from Beqa Island in 2012, initially working as a teacher aide. From 2013 through to 2015 Christine did full time study and completed her teaching degree, while living at the Harland Hostel. During this time she assisted with caring for the children and continued learning sign language. In 2016 Christine returned to the GSD, where she has worked at different levels within the school, and in more recent years has taught our older students. Christine continues in a part-time teaching role (which she loves) along with the administration which goes with being Head Teacher.
